Parks Companies began as an automotive venture. In 1967, Hubert B. Parks purchased a Chevrolet dealership franchise in Kernersville, North Carolina. Over the next 43 years, until his passing in 2010, Hubert established Parks Chevrolet as an institution in Kernersville, providing quality and affordable vehicles, employment for generations of local citizens, and community support to various Triad area organizations and causes.

 

Hubert involved his seven children at various times in the day-to-day operations of the dealership, infusing the business into the family DNA. In the six decades since the original Parks Chevrolet opened for business, the automotive investments managed by Parks Companies—through Parks Automotive Group and its ownership in Capital Automotive Group—have grown to more than 50 dealerships and 14 collision centers across North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. Collectively these dealerships represent 19 successful domestic and international brands.
